TRI-STAR MEDICAL
Tri-Star Medical is a Tennessee based brand inspired by the medicinal qualities of hemp. Designed to look clean, modern and scientific.
The owner wanted to use the Tennessee state flag with its circle and three stars to represent their roots in horticulture, with an overall medical look to represent their product purity and scientific approach. While doing some research, I noticed the cannabidiol molecule represented as a hexagon. Being symbolic for the brands product, it also tripled as a motif commonly associated with science and a perfectly symmetrical replacement for the stars in the TN flag.

Raleway was chosen because of its clean, modern characters as well as a subtle flare that sets it apart from other sans-serif typefaces. Uppercase letters have a square geometric feel, while lowercase letters provide more of a unique look. With 9 weights and 18 fonts, Raleway as both the primary and secondary typefaces worked great for a variety of media.
While the logo, typeface and graphics are crisp and geometric to reflect the scientific approach, a softer, earthy palette takes off the edge to represent the natural origin of their products.
